Why did you write friend as 'friend'? Is this person really a friend, or just an acquaintance/colleague?

Talk to him/her about it, have it out. If he/she really is a 'friend' then they won't hold it against you.

Course it's not wrong. If it was then attractive people would never get to go out with anyone, 'cause everyone that fancied them would have 'friends' (!?) that also fancy them.
