It's probably been done before, but how about a Cilla Black -style "Welcome to Blind Date - What's yer name, and wur do you come from?"

Well, Cilla... My name's Mike, and I'm from Nottingham!

My name is not difficult to guess; I come from Perthshire and now reside in Manchester, and anyone who wants to know anything else will just have to find me on Facebook.

My name is Alex, and I'm from London.

But if you assume I'm from Massachusetts, I won't hold it against you.

So someone asked me "What is it you do?". I thought about it for a minute. Then I thought about it a little more. All the while I probably looked like I was staring in to space, struggling for an answer. And I was. There was only one response I could really give.

"I make sure the shit stays off the fan."
