Now this move, of course, relies on Metropolitan being high, but the Plough and Dagger manouver (first seen c. 1971) seems the best way to counteract David Bean's move, and needless to say, it takes me directly to Harrow-on-the-Hill. I know this is quite an aggressive move, and could leave me open to a straight loop run-in, but I know you chaps wouldn't stoop so low.

Ohh, I say! That's smooth despite your worries over how it might have looked.

I'll take a replacement bus service from the national rail chest and move over to Perivale - unless someone's going to call Routemasters on me!

Don't worry Dave, no Routemasters from me! I must admit, however, to being a little concerned by David Bean's move - I hear Bank/Monument station is currently closed for engineering, but I'll let it pass and take a shimmy to the left, evoking the Great Gladstone rule of 1845 and suggest alighting at Uxbridge....

From Uxbridge to Perivale? That's either brilliant or moronic. Edgware Road, to open the game right back up surely? Or have I missed something?

Sneaky, but I would take the northern line (Bank branch) to Kennington (it avoids Charing X, which is full of rats...)
But then again, I could just be saying that to annoy people...

Too much choice!

Do I go North to West Finchley, or West to Ealing Broadway?
I wanted to check whether a branchline to Shoreditch were permissable, but someone's already booked out Harpington's Concise MC (1998, rev.) from both the town library and University library. Sneaky!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and choose to invoke the "Toothless" half step, which leads me to Wapping

This is fast becoming a thrilling game - lets see if my move invites challenges from new players...

Well...that fairly obvious move certainly doesn't make the game any easier. I think I'll have to go with a Nesbit's Northern switch, popularised about the time of Queen Victoria I believe and a very old ploy for just such a difficult situation, putting me in Kentish Town

Disfortuitously ( and mischieveiously ;p ) Kentish Town permits 3L1 knights move to Dollis Hill.

Do you know I rather think it's time we finished our present game! I do hate the summer Sinner slump.

I'll be so bold as to follow on from Duggeh's very 'Rushton-esque' move and suggest Bayswater. Good luck with that one ^.^

The logical next step from that would have to be London Bridge.

I see a Reverse-Western Swoop coming on here, after the great Billy 'Oddsocks' Western who is rumoured to have once travelled across 5 different lines in one journey to the east. Therefore, disembarking on a parallel tangent, Kew Gardens.

London Bridge doesn't offer an out from the Dollis Hill loop.

It does if you change onto the Northern Line at London Bridge, it's a sneaky move but I believe it was a winner in the 1962 classic that saw Rupert Cavendish triumph over Bertie Hargreaves-Mawdsley.

From Kew Gardens, I would go to Victoria.
