If you use an IRC programme such as mIRC (http://www.mirc.com ) or Trillian (http://www.trillian.cc ), you can get to the chat room using the address details quoted above.

Oli - people are trying to access the chatroom from Uni computers, I don't believe you're allowed or able to download and execute programs on them.

Our hall computers are supposedly set up so that programs can't be installed but whoever did it failed to realise that you can do it as long as you put a shortcut on the desktop, oops. Don't know which bright spark thought up that one.

Some one did that on the rocksoc board. Fair enough if there never going to post again but what's the need in deleting every post they ever did in the past? Far too much work and fucks up all the threads for everybody else. Stupid bastards.

I don't she deleted *all* her posts, just some of the more recent ones. I randomly checked a couple - but yeah, it does seem pretty pointless. Especially as you can't remove the entry properly, only leave a box that says "deleted".
