I think it's a really good paper. I hear lot's of people say its a load of rubbish, but I don't see how. But then again, I only buy it for the crossword and the Sudoku! :)

easily the worst paper in the country, and one that marks you out as a complete fool if you read it. its designed for bored, frustrated housewives and middle classes who want to blame the fact that their child hasnt got into the right school or the fact that their husband is bonking the secretary on something else. it's a blame paper, blame all the problems of the world on someone, or something. invariably asylum seekers.

It's not a great paper, I'd agree, but what about the Express, Daily Star and Sun to name but a few?

I think the worst paper in the country has got to be the Sun. When you open the paper and see a pair of tits, you know there isn't going to be thought-provoking articles or vital financial news. The Sun is for bored housewives, who care more about what happened in Coronoation Street than they do about things happening in the wider world.

I dunno, the Daily Mail pretends to be a proper paper, the Sun doesn't. Actually, the Mirror is possibly even worse than the Daily Mail.

Great line from the Now Show Lord of the Rings spoof (where the One Ring was the European ring).

Gandalf: Fear not Logo (their equivalent of Frodo). Whenever you feel the power of Brussels upon you, wrap yourself in this newspaper. It's made of a substance called Daily Mail. It is impervious to any weapon of the enemy.

The Now Show is filled with great Daily Mail jokes.

Headlines from Wednesday's Daily Mail included

Britney Spears reveals her unsightly 'elephant legs'

'Being voted unsexiest woman alive hurt so much', says Sarah Jessica Parker as she cries all the way to the bank

Barefoot, pregnant and blissfully happy: Nicole Kidman takes a beach stroll with her husband
Women - know your place

And finally, the absolutely shocking

Amy Winehouse buys a sunbed - but will it be enough to cure her scabby face?

scabby face? It may well be, but that's incredibly cruel.

These all came from the femail section of the paper.

Pfft, that's child's play. It's the hard hitting analysis I like, such as:

"Post offices to close, French blamed"

or

"Storms to grip Britain, asylum seekers steal our shelters"

Sad thing is by the time half of the people posting here reach middle age and have mortgages and kids in boarding school I bet there will be a subscription package to the Daily Mail among the household expenditures.

I like the Sun, just for the in depth views of the page three girls such as "Carla 22 from Essex is disgusted by the genocide in Darfur and thinks the president is a very bad man for ignoring thier plight"
