Graduation Ball 2008

Does anyone know anything about it yet? I noticed that the dinner menu was up today in the general office. How much do the tickets usually cost?

Thanks

Dinner/dance tickets are £55 and Dance-only tickets are £30, but apparently if you go to the dance then you miss the ceilidh, which I always think is the best bit...

This year, it's been planned so that if you're at the dinner, you won't miss the ceilidh.

Not that I want to discourage people from taking up the University's graduation dinner offer, but myself and a group of friends, along with others just opted for the dance ticket and had a nice meal at the new restaurant at the Golf Hotel shortly after it had been reopened. Worth doing if you want to avoid the canteen style menu option of the official graduation dinner and have something a bit more personal. Most of the restaurants and hotels offer a graduation dinner menu, but they do book up very very quickly.

Does anyone have any clue who's going to be playing the grad ball? I hear Dundee have the amazing Venga Boys and Rachel Stevens for their ball, which sounds like a pretty hard act to follow.

The Venga Boys and Rachael Stevens....well thats two reasons not to bother going... I can only hope you were being sarcastic when you said that would be a hard act to follow...

On a slightly unrelated matter, how long are tickets on sale and are graduates guaranteed tickets up untill a certain point? I am still not sure how the price is justified, but they know full well that most will go to it.

Does anyone happen to not need their spare ticket as I am looking for an extra 2 tickets to the grad ball. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

And where do we buy tickets? I'm sure I saw it somewhere but just cannot find it at the moment.
