A few years ago, CNN accidentally published a whole load of obituaries prematurely on their web site. Looks like this might have been something similar, particularly considering all the papers today were talking of the Duke's "robust health".

I don't know about the OP but I saw it on the DW forum on DigitalSpy - they were worried DW might get cancelled.

Edit: concern was that Doctor Who might get cancelled because of coverage of the DoE's death.

Who..? Wha..? DW? Is that Dr Who you are on about? I had thought it might be an article on the Duke of Edinburgh too, but now I just want to know what it said. I am baffled as to what it might be? Please tell us!

The article originally stated, in its title, that the Duke of Edinburgh had died. It remained up for several hours, but was then pulled.
