It is tonight/tomo morning.

Low tide at Castle Sands will be at approx 4:30am. Which means that the pool should be visible, hopefully, at about 3:00.

Is wearing a wetsuit considered cheating?

Yes. Get pissed as a newt like everyone else, and then it's not as bad.

Holy crap that was cold. I thought it would be a good idea to run in at 4AM, just when it started pouring it down like serious business. I then promptly ran home and curled up in bed.

Am I wrong in this assumption, or was it not as busy as in previous years?

Yes, its always best just to run in (perhaps not medically, by psychologically at least), but you are right, its bloody cold.

I find that it really sets me up for the day though. Rather than curl in bed I feel like getting stuck into the day.

I got one or two good ones, but it was a bit dark and I was in no mood to carry my tripod to the beach.

Nice one Alex (I always end up with crap photos and nicking some of my friends from facebook cause then at least I have some good ones to look back on when I am old and far from this place)

Sob that was my last May Dip. And I lost a pair of shoes to the water. I tried to find them again but to no avail. Bloody rocks are painfull and I was nowhere near drunk enough not to feel it.

I think it was quieter than usual but I blame the rain for that. And a few of my friends being a bit too drunk to make it to the beach.

Perhaps it looked that way because it was low tide?
