Yes, they mis-sold me my contract. The told me that the first 6 months of my 18 month contract were half price, which was true, but they also said that after 6 months I could change my tariff.
This is a complete lie.
With "three", you can only change your tariff half way through a contract (9 month). So I had 3 months of paying a huge contract bill.
They also misled me because, you can't just change your tariff with three. You can only drop it to the next lowest tarrif once per month.
Whilst they didn't say that I could change to any tarrif, when I told them I was concerned about how much the unreduced monthly fee was their comback was, "don't worry about that, you can change your tariff after the first 6 months". This to me implies that I could chnage it to what I wanted, not just the next one down, otherwise I would have been worried about the cost per month.
Whilst the second one is perhaps my idiocy, the first is certainly unlawful. My guess is that the second one would also be against the rules too though. I used to be a salesman, and I know only too well that there are very strict guidlines about exactly what you can and can't say. The trouble is, its difficult to prove what someone did or didn't say in a face to face sales situation, so a lot of people tend to bend the rules.
