I was awake in January when the results came out and I'll damn well be awake when these ones do.

Although it is almost half three where I am at the moment.

In my department the examiners meeting was still going on this afternoon....

In which case, they're breaking Senate regulations, but like so many departments in this university, I susupect nobody is prepared to say anything - just like a friend who didn't get his Martinmas grade until 2 weeks later because the course co-ordinator fucked off to somewhere-far-away without bothering to tell anyone.

No -- you're confusing two issues. The individual module results have to be reported by 1pm. The meetings on Monday afternoon were the degree classification boards, who look at the collective module results, approve the degree classifications, and deal with any borderline or other special cases.

This was my first set of exams where the results were actually out a few days before the deadline. I was pleased, normally I'm up until 3am or whatever pressing F5 and watching the server slowly crash due to everybody else doing the same thing. ;)

I want tomorrow to come now...I'm still not certain what my degree will be, although I assume a 2:1

Mean: 16.08
Median: 16.45 (!!)

Will they round this up or down?
Will it matter?

Oh wow. That *is* close. I think you would have to go to the borderline panel- or whatever it's called- where they look at people in your position. I would imagine they would round it up, but you can't be sure...Good luck!

Degree classifications are supposed to be out...and yet I can't see it. Any clues where it might be?

Question to anyone else doing languages: how do we find out about distinctions we may have got in the orals? I know I got one in one of my languages but it isn't listed on the classification. Grr.

I think - not entirely sure though - that it means that is what you are rightly entitled to...i dont know if it can change?

It means exactly what it says. You have not been awarded a degree yet, that happens at graduation. You are eligible for the award of your degree (with the classification) the day you cross that stage.
