Is there a list of candidates and a summary of their policies anywhere?

Any predictions on turnout? I'll be surprised if it tops 1,200.

I say 1000, give or take a hundred. When I asked them about 30 minutes ago, they had had 8% of students vote - whatever that translates as in terms of numbers.

Interesting. That's exactly what they said at noon. I'm pretty sure some people voted between noon and 2pm.

I reckon 1450ish.

Vote Kevin Dunion OBE.

I found it quite refreshing that on passing Sir Chay Blyth on my way into the library, he handed me a flyer and said "I won't harrass you" :P
But then again, I could just be saying that to annoy people...

On the other hand, he tried to hand me a flyer 6 times, even though I was campaigning for Kevin Dunion and I had already met him previously. He seems very nice though and completely harmless.

Potentially more annoying was a Colin Fox supporter trying to hand me a flyer whilst I was carrying a wardrobe (don't ask).

And in fact, even worse - I'm sat in the library (trying) to work and I'm still bloody shivering - it is damn cold out there!
I feel I should know this, but when are the results announced?

I was told they were trying to finish counting by 8pm. Not sure where they are counting, though, but I presume results will appear on the Sinner soon afterwards. I'll be in the Union Main Bar later for post-campaigning drinks, I'll post back here with results if nobody beats me to it.

PS: We seem to be making it past the 1700 votes cast mark!

Edit: Seems there were 1859 votes cast (unless any more came in last minute). Anyone dare make predictions for the final result?

Word from the count is that Kevin Dunion has stormed the polls, with Colin Fox 2nd, Sir Chay 3rd.

I bought a ticket for the Wednesday show because of that wardrobe. Unless several wardrobes were hanging around the library and I've got the wrong one ...

V happy re Dunion.

According to the University's official news page (and I was astounded it was updated for this morning...)

Mr Dunion, who will officially take up his post tomorrow (Saturday 1 November), won by 941 votes to Fox's 515 and Blyth's 401. The total vote count of 1859 represented 26% of the full-time student population at St Andrews.

Quite resounding then I'd say. Congratulations to Mr Dunion, far and away the best candidate for the job.
What?
