OK, it's another in the long spate of BBC articles, but how mad is this?

Twin sisters with an apparent death wish running in front of traffic.

Only given one day in jail for assaulting a police officer and disrupting traffic? That sounds extremely lenient to me.

Urgh. I hate seeing stuff like this. There's a morbid fascination to watch but you hate what you might see. I can't imagine how traumatic it would be to be there witnessing that situation. It's not so much the squeamishness towards potential gore but the fact that these people really didn't want to live. What was so wrong in their lives that made them that determined? I hope for my own peace of mind they were drunk or high.
