What's changed?

Postby Curious graduate on Fri Nov 07, 2008 12:24 pm

So it's been 4 and a half months since I graduated and left this wonderful town...

What's changed? Any new bars, any transformations, any controversies?

I have a sudden longing to know what's been going on

Hmm, well, the Vic's been done up a bit and we have a new rector, to name but two changes.

Tescos has reorganised where it puts things on the shelves, and the layout of the place is slightly changed, too. Its been that way since the end of August, at least, and I for one am still not used to it!

"Hello Cheeky" is now "Multicolour". Of course, it's still the bop to everyone. ;)

The Bop costs £3.50, but Multicolour is free (you just need to buy a drink to get a free wristband)

Eeeh I remember the days when the Bop were £1.50, or free with an International Bop Card.

There is an Aldi.
The Butcher's on Market St has closed, leading to (shock, horror) speculation that Mc Donalds may be about to open...
KFB have changed their menu.

All that handling raw meat followed by handling raw meat must really have transferred the germs from raw meat to raw meat. I'm amazed that none of the people who bought the second lot of raw meat and ate it raw died of food poisoning.

I bought that second lot of meat, and it didn't taste any different from the first, nor did it make me poorly.

You and your hand washing. Who are you, Lady Macbeth?

There are students who were born in the 90's. This is the most terrifying change as far as I'm concerned.

For a brief period (approx 11 minutes) there were no roadworks in St Andrews at all, which was joyous, but alas they're back.
You wouldn't steal a handbag. You wouldn't steal a car. You wouldn't steal a containership full of tanks. Piracy is a crime, do not accept it.
