Charles Darwin and The Tree of Life

Wasn't that a marvellous piece of Attenborough? After his semi-retirement he returns with a more personal approach and it seems (thanks to the stock footage of him from the 70's) like the programme was almost a culmination of his life's work.
I wonder if it has some people foaming at the mouth (oh wait it already has....http://open2.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=28 BBC discussion forum)

Also, Darwin week in St Andrews is coming up

All free and open to the public, I will definitely be taking the thursday off work.

Absolutely. Very much improved by the personal touch. Some of the briefly seen clips at the end were stunning.

This looks like a great event. John van Wyhe is a renowned authority on Darwin and well worth a listen. Inherit the Wind needs a bit of a health warning as it is historically inaccurate (see the work of Ronald Numbers and Edward Larson). Anyone know whether these lectures will be podcasted?. The Thursday line-up looks good.
