Well, they did their run-throw-by (?!) on Shmooz and The Job Centre. I'm going to offer up sexual harrassment, ensuing unfair dismissal, economic crisis (just, because, you know!), back-chat from Job Centre employee, suspect having had a shit Valentine's day... resulting in manic losing of plot.

NOTE: First syntactic unit in second sentence not meant to be misconstrued!

P.S. I live near the 'crime scene' and some little bastard pissed all over our doorway... a link, perhaps?!

witnessed the 'ending' of this event at about 4pm today (23rd).

a male in his earlier thirties (i imagine) smashed the schmooz and job centre window with it looked like a hunk of cement (maybe taken from that nearby construction site in front of specsavaers?). cop car arrived pretty quickly, pulled him away from the scene, handcuffed him, patted him down, put in him the cop car. that's all i saw.

i didnt think i was the type of person that would stop and watch one of these situations unfold, but i walked toward it when i heard the commotion. silly me...

They also smashed the window in the Toyshop. I hope that the guy who did it is billed for the damage small independent businesses such as the Toyshop will be suffering at the moment and the last thing they will need is to pay for new windows.

Looks like I narrowly missed the most exciting thing to happen around here in 50 years or so.

It's been quite an eventful day. A car drove through my wall earlier. They don't normally do that.
So much for an early night.
