An SNP minister asks the UK government to bail them out on a devolved issue. That doesn't even need a punch-line.

Haven't you been paying attention? Everyone knows that all the good things that happen in Scotland are due to Salmond and Co and every problem and bump in the road is the fault of the UK Government. That's the SNP's main policy platform! If contingency funding isn't granted no doubt when it comes to the general election we'll hear how Labour in Westminster put the health of Scot's at risk by not stumping up funding. The SNP want to have their cake and eat it - life will be so much better when we're independent, but as soon as there's a problem they're the first on the phone to Westminster begging for help.

A small part of me actually wants Scotland to become independent just so we can watch the SNP make a cock up of things and not be able to pass the buck down to London.

...but only a very small part - I fear if that was ever to happen Salmond's smug reaction might be enough to send him supernova and obliterate his new found free country .
