Whyever should rae want to brawl
When in fact she can stand tall
For against me she acheived the unthinkable
Two games to one at the air hockey table
But that I was playing badly, Greebo couldn't take the hint
He lost to me again, the silly bint.

Anstruther's where I'm off to drive
Don't quite know when I'll arrive
I'm taking people on a whirl
And so is that nice bondgirl
I'm sure the chips and fish of batter
Will be so nice, grease doesn't matter
When we return at the speed of Schumach'
That food will be in bloated stomachs!

Methinks you Sinner fiends have found
Futile net lust fertile grounds
For dilly dallying, wasting time
All to impress with silly rhyme
I know this sounds a bit chastising,
Aren't you supposed to be revising?

There aren't a lot of joys to be had
When you're a boring, single postgrad
But there is one advantage that is clear to me
There are no exams in my degree!
So for the next week I have plenty of time
To fool around making fun with rhyme.
In America they think 100 years is old and in Britain they think 100 miles is far.

Iam writing again from need.
Its five in the morning.

The only thing standing in my life is you.

What to do their honors,
the theatrical words?
In my minds screen,
bodies without soul,dead.

As i look in the mirror
i see a familiar face,

and maybe the ugliness will
leave ,when i wash and shave.

Breath stings from the cigarette
my mind is heavy from things,
in the wall a Mona Lisa smiling.

Even though this letter ends,
my need does not stop
like the bird over the net
like the punk who wonders around lost.

I want you to come a fire me
tell me the fairytale
Like Mother earth to hug me
Like a white Light
Come again Please.

Methinks 'tis time to kill the thread
This sixth form poet is making me see red
With self-indulgent tales of adolescent woe
And more doggerel than I could ever know.
Please don't think that I'm being mean
I wrote this kind of crap when I was sixteen.

Oh where, Oh where can strongbad be?
Have the creators gone for a cuppa tea?
Perhaps they were busy making the forum
Which blew up quicker than a firework showroom
Or maybe they were busy with teen squad three
Which frankly, worse it could not be.
Guess I'll have to wait for next week
My disappointment is not hard to speak

Muchos amusement this thread has provided
To some, but others' views seem divided;
Despising this verse seems the pastime of flawed
Philistines, their leader being one R.A. Sword.
However, yours truly is just far too proud
By such as his ilk to be beaten and cowed
And so, most audacious, I hereby disinter
This thread, thus defying that Tenebraic cur.

And so, to return to the topic in hand,
To wit: Bobby Brooke, whose words have unmanned
The normally stolid and well-nigh inscrutable
Greebo, by implying his visage is beautiful.
At once the poor chap became all confused
And with verbal blushes his lines were suffused.
For past adorations he now puts up hatchments
And swiftly denies any present attachments.

His rebuttal to claims he’s besotted with Anna
Was founded on grounds that Sleaze is her man. A
Fact in itself, but it doesn’t rule out
That in worshipping her Paul may still be devout.
Forgive me for raising this issue tangential,
But to other liaisons love ain’t deferential,
And b/fs on the part of the thing of attraction
Do nothing but thwart any ‘ffirmative action.

But now, incoherence becomes the motif
And doubtless you’ll all heave a sigh of relief
To learn that, with standards of English descending,
It has become clear that this poem needs ending,
And I hope that nobody got ants in their pants on
Perusing my crimes against syntax and scansion.
Here this bard bids you a hearty teuf-teuf,
Thread-resuscitation sending Ten through the roof.

I think that we've been completely humbled
Don's words make our poems look truely jumbled
But now in verse, and it does need replied,
The worshipping of Anna, to which he implied.
It's true she's attractive and really quite funny,
With a rather worrying obsession with bunnies.
But to say that I worship is rather excessive
Like Ten's breast attraction - it sounds quite obsessive.
Regardless, it seems that I've said this before
Anna's heart's not available, not any more.
She is but a friend, a good one at that
To use a Don phrase, she ain't a bad hat.

I'm feeling poetic, so here's the next verse
Which may be more depressing, though not like a hearse.
Being single, it sucks, it's really quite shite
Having no-one to cuddle while lying at night.
I do miss the company, the love of another
Which certainly ain't like the love of a mother
And though some say "Go! Go have one night stands"
I ain't into that - prefer to hold hands
But enough of my woes, I ain't here to bore you
So I'll leave with a message, it is for those few,
Or perhaps for those many, I really don't know
But I'm off on a tangent, so here I go
If you're a couple, hold on to that tight
You've got something special, a unique delight
The love of another is more precious than gold
Though harder to keep and less easy to hold

How nice Paul's poem is for all to see,
it's very touching, well at least to me,
I hope he finds true love somewhere,
and that loneliness he will no longer have to bear,
as some belle will pull him into her arms,
and love him for all his worldly charms.

And now you're all speaking in verse?
It's dangerous for your health
This thing has gone from bad to worse
I'm doing it myself.

My soul has drowned in the tears I cannot cry
No tree has branches so foolish as to fight among themselves

By Zeus and by goose, you really are a darling,
ergo your single status is decidedly alarming!
Are the ladies of St Andrews stark raving mad,
when there is such a catch as you to be had!

When, Gribeau, you churn out such heart-rending mush
Is it any wonder folk lust for your tush?

All this beautiful poetic verse
Is slowly turning from bad to worse
Single sinners looking for a chum
They've forgotten what its like to be under the thumb
Going out can be quite exciting
However at times its less than inviting
Its an awesome thing for you to pursue
Until your student loan pays for two
Exams and girls do not mix
Now's not the time to be looking for chicks
Although girls take up all your time
Its nice to have a partner in crime
However, let me abbreviate
A girlfriend is an expensive way to procrastinate.

Dave, although we all know you're a bit of a dog, isn't
What's-her-name going to be miffed when she's cognisant
Of these opinions, to her less than flattering -
In your life shouldn't she be the one thing that's mattering?
Of course, in the loop is one thing that I'm not
Can it be that your romance has gone all to pot?
If so, at my tactlessness I hide my face
And soundly deplore her distinct lack of taste.

(In parting with one so impeccably eligible
Her mental processes would be quite unintelligible.)

There was once a young man from Dundee,
Who was stung on the neck by a wasp,
When asked if it hurt he said,
No, not a bit, it can do it again if it likes,

Nova, thank you for sharing that poetic white elephant
But to this conversation it's completely irrelevant.
