We've got the rabbits and the gently moulded green hills.

We used to call it Teletubby Land when I lived in Melville in 1st year (99-00). Do people still put stuff on the Mound? My favourite was a clawfoot bathtub, because everyone had to go sit in it when on the way home from the pub.

we have been known to put stuff on the mound. My favourite to date is a pipe organ.

Oh the fun you all have down at the north haugh :( Most fun we have at DRH is "guess the meat in the 'meat' canalloni". Maybe its pigeon? there are so few of them in st andrews... there has to be a reason...

Apparently the chicken is from Brazil.
I always thought that the meat in DRH was rabbit meat- there are so many of them-bread for a purpose?

You know, you could be right about Tellytubby land being based off North Haugh. How many bloody rabbits are around this area? I'm sure they're evil though.

About the same amount as in most other areas in Fife.

I hope you're not implying that the teletubby house is sinking. Think of the devestation amongst the country's children.

Perhaps the Teletubby living quarters are a futuristic, subterranean version of Melville? The University has replaced real cleaners with a living vacuum cleaner; the food still resembles slop, though.

Yes, the 'moundings' are still in operation. I moved in this year and have only managed ones so far, but it was a wheelchair, which i was quite impressed with.

I've been wondering about that wheelchair. Was anyone using it when you pinched it?

hehe....i can just imagine someone being wheeled onto the mound and left stuck there, so crawled there way home leaving the wheelchair behind....no offense to any wheelchair bound people but that was the immediate image springing to mind when reading this thread
