I've seen Sir Ming referred to in various newspapers over the last couple of days as "former chancellor of the University of St Andrews". Has he stepped down or have the papers cocked up?
They get confused by the existance of rectors of which we have many former ones floating about and Chancelors of which we sadly have no former ones still with us.
