i'll be in the union on sunday crossing my fingers and hoping that the Boro can do the unthinkable and win a trophy. and if they do then i shall be happy. and if they don't then i shall despise bolton wanderers even more.

I was at the Riverside when the boro were promoted on the last day of the season and even Oxford United fans joined in the party. lets hope that we get more of the same in Venue 1 on Sunday.

i was waiting for that comment.

how about bolton, middlesbrough or even just fans of football?

not everything on the board has to be of vital concern to the student population at large, but this is important to us.

To everyone going, have a good time, and try to enjoy the occasion whatever the result. I went to the Millenium stadium to watch Norwich lose in the play-off final a couple of years ago and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life - the atmosphere was like nothing I'd ever experienced even before kickoff, and as the match went all the way to penalties it turned out to be pretty draining. I've been to Wembley a couple of times (including an England v Scotland match) but Cardiff whips the pants off the old Wembley ten times over (especially with the roof closed).
Meanwhile, tomorrow I'm off to the Stadium of Light in Sunderland - I've heard good things, so I hope I have as enjoyable a weekend as you...

Look sorry pal, but I dont think the fact that I was brought up on a council estate in Lanarkshire should matter when Im trying to get into uni. I actually only got in cos I stole the exam papers

I was brought up on a council estate on the bad side of Manchester by a single mother who only cared for herself. But I dont act like a tit.

I'm at home on snowy Teesside listening to the match on the radio. The shops and roads are empty just now. I don't normally bother with the footie but I'm enjoying the atmosphere we have on Teesside at the moment. Hello Boro fans :-D

very random

http://c.adorablebunnies.com/UPLOAD/pinguxtreme.swf is a much better version.

There is nothing quite like the experience of going to a big game in a small stadium... especially if its terracing. My first football match was an amazing experience - morton v kilmarnock, it was mobbed, i could barely see and when we scored it was the best feeling ever, when everyones goin crazy...

pity we lost 5-2. On my 14th birthday i went to see morton v celtic at parkhead, but the atmosphere was rotten. Celtic fans just expect to win... barely a cheer when they scored. Boo.

I havent been to the football in aaaaaages and morton were really going downhill until i moved away from greenock and i havent seen them play since. Didn't we have a thread about 2nd division football before? I miss going to the football bigtime. We should have a society, people!!

Motherwell fans are also cordially invited... :)
