archers, champagne and fresh orange juice, with a splash of grenadine, and lots of ice. good stuff. also good if you leave out the champagne, but not quite so bubbly or alcoholic.

and frozen margharitas (tequila, triple sec & lime juice and lots of ice) are also yummy :)

Baileys and Malibu

Postby zeppelin on Sat Feb 28, 2004 1:37 am

I Invented this one in the Mardi while pissed one night. Combine Baileys and Malibu in equal quantities on ice. Sit back and enjoy.

Watermelon soaked in bacardi or vodka does it for me.
Every day for about 5 days in advance, filter bacardi or vodka into the melon and leave in the fridge.
Everyone just gets wasted on eating the melon alone.

Has to be Champagne preferably Tattinger although only on the very rare occasions I could ever afford to buy it...failing that a fantastic glass of Barossa Valley Old Vine Shiraz (currently on sale in Bottoms Up; no, I haven't been paid to promote it!).

Champagne cocktails are good - champers + fruit liquer of choice.

Though not very SitC my favourite cocktail is the 'Blue Meanie'
1 shot Blue Curaco
1 shot banana liquer
1 shot vodka
Dash of lime juice
top up with lemonade

Tastes like sherbet. Great way to get drunk.

Long Island Iced Teas are quite Sex & The City. Or at least Satin Island Iced Tea which is essentially the same thing. The program featured them at least once. Unfortunately I don't know what gos into them. They are supposed to be VERY alcoholic with loads of shots in them, but I don't know how many or what they use. I'm always checking out cocktail lists at bars to see if they have proper Long Island Iced Teas, but they always seem to be just a name tagged on another cocktail no stronger than any of the others. But if you found out what was in them, they would be very S&TC.

A Long Island Ice Tea is the four white spirits (Vodka, Gin, Rum & Triple Sec) with sours mix (if you can't get this, water, lime cordial, lemon juice, sugar and egg white) with cola. With cranberry juice, it becomes a Long Beach Ice Tea.

There are lots of variants, replacing the gin with another liquor, or the cola with another mixer.

A very dry martini, ideally made with Tanqueray.
