$1 Million

Postby Flight Steward Gandalf on Wed Mar 10, 2004 11:27 am

I was trawling about on the bbc news website today and came across this article.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3497480.stm

I can see that they police are investigating the mental state of Pike but who would really be daft enough to think that they can pass off a $1 million note and expect a shop to give them $998328 change. That is probably more than than the shop takes in a week.

If i did have more than a million dollars i am sure i wouldn't be carting that amount of cash about with me at any one time.

The idea of getting 215425 sausage suppers may be appealing but i would rather not think of my cholesterol level or waist line afterwards. people would be well within their rights to sing "who ate all the sausage suppers? Who ate all the sausage suppers? you......"

It'd actually be 215490 sausage suppers

(at today's exchange rate $1000000 would give you £549500 and sausage suppers cost £2.55 each)

you know its really something when sixty five sausage suppers can seem like an insignificant amount!!

The way the university is going you would be very lucky to get enough change for a sausage supper with paying for that!

As to the number of sausage suppers which can be bought for $1,000,000 lets just say i was right and it is 217656.

I'm sure if you bought in that amount of bulk, they'd give you a little discount.
Don't forget commission costs when figuringoutth exchange rate, too.

Aah, trailer trash. Gotta love em. Even better, Georgia Wal-Mart trailer trash.

That thing almost tops MacGyver's! But not quite. Looks like someone nailed a possum to the back of her head. Or a swamp chicken, as they tend to be called down in Geeeorgia.

Sheeeee's my sweetheart of the mountain, sheeeee's my little Georgian rose.
