Excuse me fore being mean but I'm getting a little pissed off with this film - I built myself up to it last time - it's clearly gonna be crap and this Ben guy obviously has no idea what he's doing.

How many of you are going to see it??

this movie is clearly going to be good if not great. i know how much he has put into it and how talented he is. People who have seen it have said it was good, and it sucks that you would say something is crap without seeing it.

When? The calendar post doesn't say when it starts. Will there be any before or after party this time round?

Sorry, the calendar post was me very early this morning.

For those of you with tickets for the balcony, there is a black tie champagne reception in Broon's at 9.30. From the bits of the film I've seen, it's looking really good.

Indeed. I've been actually making an effort to watch as little of the editing process as possible, to be able to enjoy the film in its entirety.

However, we watched the first few minutes of the older rough-cut at the NPH last night, and even that looked great.

Get your tickets now, and please come along tonight to support St Andrews student films. It's on a 10:30. See you there.

Shameless spoiler: Look out for the trailer for my upcoming short film! Huzzah!

Does anyone know if you can get a refund and if so where? I bought a ticket for the original showing and am now unable to go tonight.

Just wanted to congratulate all involved in what turned out to be a really good film.

Most definitely! The proof of the pudding was, indeed, in the tasting! So all those doomsayers proclaiming that it would be crap can go eat their words! The only negative points to the film were only down to the equipment, and, lets face it, if you enjoy a film, it shouldn't be because of special effects. An excellent script, an excellent cast (most perfectly cast in many places!) and a wonderful student film!

Well done Ben!

How disappointing! I paid my good fiver on the door, took my seat downstairs and proceeded to watch an hour and a half of interminable crap!

Did any of you hear the sound? It was all over the place and most of the transitions were fairly out of it as well, the cutting was all over the place! And don't even get me started on the script! My God! I hope this guy never makes it, if that poor attempt is anything to go by.

I liked it. I guess the sound wasn't 5.1 DTS but then again I'm not anally retentive enough to care. I liked the plot (although I've been told I'm thick for not seeing the twist) and I really enjoyed the atmosphere last night. Well done Cast+Crew.

At least Ben had the determination to embark on a huge and difficult project and see it through to the end. I for one know how much time he has spent on this project. Ok, so you may not like it, fair enough, we are all allowed to have our opinions about these things. Hoping, on the other hand, that he never makes it seems to be going a bit far. If half the tripe that we watch in the cinemas was pulled off with this much effort maybe it would be a lot better. Also I'm sure you would not appreciate it if someone wished for you to fail in your ambition. Sad, very sad indeed.
