Bestest & worstest alcoholic drink ever

Inspired by all the "Best/worst chocolate/films/artists/song lyrics" threads.

What are peoples favourite and least favourite alcoholic beverages?

My unsophisticated tastes mean I reach for the sweet spirits like Malibu/Midori etc with mixers like fruit juice or lemonade/coke etc. Unless it's something like Baileys, which is obviously better straight. I did go through a phase of drinking white wine for a while, but I have discovered that even a tiny amount gives me terrible hangovers, while I can drink spirits till I pass out, and be fine the next day. I like certain alcopops too, like Archer's Aquas esp. raspberry, and those mudshake things. I tend to avoid peach flavoured stuff though, like original Archers or Schnaps because it reminds me too much of bad piss-ups in my school days. I also can't touch Reefs after the Millenium New year party I attended.

I absolutely hate all beers, largers, Guinness etc. I refuse to touch Tequila too. I used to drink it when I was of school age, it was THE thing we drank to get pissed, but we always hated it. It was always a challenge fighting the gag-reflex after swallowing. Finally in my 1st year fresher's week, I lost my battle with the reflex, and I've never touched it since. I also hate Aftershock which makes me feel ill and tastes awful. Vodka's pretty revolting too.

So what do other people like/dislike? What's your poison?

Beers/Lagers are the only drinks I'll touch - apart from baileys/tia maria and white wine.

I can't stand vodka, it tastes like paint stripper for god's sake! I hate all spirits in fact and crappy alcopops

mort subite - a cherry beer - is just the absolute best drink ever. it's sooooo good. i prefer beers above most other drinks. for spirits, i like gin - mixed with just about anything! my fav cocktail is probably a grasshopper (chocolate and mint...what's not to like??!)

i HATE whiskey. hate hate hate hate HATE it. it tastes like licking the bottom of a scummy pond. or at least i *imagine* that's what it tastes like!

Gotta love a White Russian. Smooth and calm. And, for a change, Sloe Gin. Very interesting flvour.
The rest I barely bother with. It all tastes foul.

I reckon for whisky it's Ardbeg, but having said that I had some Caol Ila 12 year old recently and that certainly hit the spot.

Oh my god yes. Vilest drink ever. Except perhaps vodka. But then anyone would think that after drinking a whole bottle having been told it was 'water'. Yes, I was slightly pissed already. Oops, silly me.

Buckfast usually hits the spot. It was an old favourite back in Grangemouth, and it keeps the Lanarkshire neds going(reportedly 70% of the worldwide sales of Buckfast are in Lanarkshire, Airdrie probably being the main offender).

My favourite drink is the same as my least favourite.

It's called a gut fucker, and goes a little something like this:

4 shots vodka
4 shots blue bols
half pint of cider
bottle of orange reef

All mixed together in a single pint glass.

Well I like a good single malt whisky; thats always nice, especially if poured over some ice to keep it nice and cold.
The chocolate vodka mudshakes they do in the union are fantastic.
some cocktails:

Bianco inferno:
1/4 white rum
1/4 vodka
1/4 tequila
1/4 gin

And one I made up myself - I call it the Dawn beach, cos it has so many bright colours.

mix: Bols Blue, Coconut Liquor (I suppose malibu would do), orange juice and vodka together. you can make it as strong as you like. this goes green.
Then mix OJ, coconut and vodka, and carefully pour on top. It shouldnt mix; thus creating a yellow layer. then mix bols blue, coconut and vodka and pour that carefully on top. this creates a blue layer.
You get a green layer - the grass, a yellow layer - the sand, and a blue layer, the sea!

You should really make this in a half pint glass, and these quantities of alcohol should really get you fairly drunk after a glass or two. The only mixer here is orange juice that takes up, if my maths is correct, 1/5 of the total drink, the rest should be almost completely spirit of various types.

Erdinger at the Cellar is beautiful...a slippery nipple however (baileys and sambucca) is THE worst gag-ridden 'shot' ever. One of my so called 'friends' gave me this for an 18th birthday present, and became the only time i immediately ran to the toilets to throw up!!

Does anybody know what a "Zombie" is? Billy Conelly talks about them in a lot of his gags saying you get pissed from the feet, up. I suspect this may be slightly inacurate, but no doubt it must be incredibly strong. So does anybody know what it is? I think it's a cocktail, but what goes in it?

Not sure what exactly goes in, but it's one of those drinks that comes in a cool container -- at least, the only time I ever got one it came in a skull-shaped glass! ALMOST as cool as being in a coconut with those little paper umbrellas.
