Things to do rather than write that essay at 2AM

What would you rather do at 2AM than write an essay. I'm sure you all can take a guess at the first thing that pops into my mind....

Sleep.

Go for a walk. Its the best time. There's no people about and there is a lovely stillness and tranquility to everything.

Watch T.V. Usually a music channel like TMF as I am in New Hall and everything else on T.V. at that time is utter tripe.

Your room will never be cleaner than during essay/exam time.

1. Make myself puke.
2. Put my favourite Bond films in order.
3. Discuss the merits of mirrors.
4. Prank phone calls.
5. Kill insects in garden.

Then you will feel like doing the essay. Works every time.

During a recent essay procrastination, I rearranged our flats collection of 140 DVDs into genre. Then I realised that the DVD was missing out of one of the boxes, so checked every box, just in case it was in the others.
Then I tidied my room.
Then the kitchen.
Then the living room.
Then the bathroom.

Oh well, at least the house is tidy now...

1. Rearrange CDs into alphabetical order
2. Re-rearrange CDs into date acquired
3. Watch tape of Diagnosis Murder episode from three weeks ago (same tape watched yesterday)
4. Clean house
5. Re-tune TV

Or sleep, sleep is good.

Get a big killer bouncy ball (the kind made out of that transparent rubber that can bounce 4 ages!) and throw it repeatedly against ur wall, when this gets dull (and if no one has stormed in demanding to know what the hell ur doing!) Get a bit more energetic, throw it really hard and see if you can dive to catch it with ur not so good catching hand :) Hours of pointless pleasure and guarenteed ur room will b trashed by the end and then you can tidy it up! (even more time wasted! YAY!)

Swap the floor tiles around. In 1st year, some mates of mine rearranged the coloured carpet tiles of the New hall corridor to spell words. In some moment of madness I swapped carpet tiles from the 4th floor and 1st floor. For those who haven't ventured to the top floor, it is a rather shocking grass-green colour.
