If you could time travel..

If you could travel back in time to this time last year what would you tell yourself?

Winning lottery numbers is a stupid and obvious one so lets count that one out shall we?

'Whatever you do, I dont care how drunk you are please! restrain yourself at the Hallowe'en party, DONT 'go with it' on raisin Sunday, its the WRONG idea!
Also, dont stress, uni is fantastic! BUt keep an eye on tania!'
Thats about it, though I think one year is a bit stingy! Not a very good time machine if you ask me!

I'd tell myself that the guy I like is not mine to have - so I should quit liking him before it becomes painful. :(

aaaaaahhh the wonders of hindsight and a wasted year eh?!

I'd have to tell myself:

"She may seem like fun - but she a psycho - RUN AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!"

and

"Oooh - by the way, do some work, apparently that's appropriate here"

Ah, I recall this. Perhaps wise, our Pandy.

Me? Well, one should never have any regrets, but I'm not that strong. I would lock myself in my room, with loads of books. Actually do enough work to get my degree.

Oh, and I would remind myself that leaving my dissertation to the last two and a half days before it is due is not necesarily a wise plan...

Don't get arrested.
Don't start drinking four hours before an important committee meeting.

Realise that people need to be told how much they mean to you (and the ones that you told really, really don't).

I'd tell myself to go back another year and not to fuck up the relationship you/I had with the most perfect girl I've ever met, who still haunts my dreams.

Is that pathetic enough for your mocking tone of "affairs of the heart"?

Don't buy that camera, photography bad.

Instead buy a video camera and start taping, that way in a year's time your'll be able to remind yourself what actually happened otherwise you won't remember a bloody thing.

Go back and say don't use the time machine. But would that mean that I don't use it so I don't know not to use it... OMG the deepness of thought!

I would tell myself everything that has happened to myself from then until now, and let myself decide what to do with that information. Personally I would make sure that I went to a few eventful nights out that I missed. Tell myself to get an academic mother cos I never got one. And I would also warn of some stupid things said to friends, so I wouldn't say them again.

I would tell myself: "Be far more confident. Be nice to that guy. He might seem like weird and totally not your type, but you will fall badly for him. .. Just in time for him to leave you cause you were so bitchy. Don't become that friendly with that one girl- she isn't who you think she is and wanted to be your friend for the wrong reasons. Don't freak out about uni work. Not that important. Don't freak out about academic parents and Raisin weekend. Not that much of a deal. Live according to Oscar Wilde: "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself.

What I would say, "You know that list of priorities you wrote out? And how #2-#4 were the same thing repeated? And then the list of ways to work towards that goal? Well, please stick to it! Don't get distracted!"
I always know perfectly well what is good for me, but I never do it.
