Dogtanian was the best! Imagine taking seventeenth century France, making a cartoon about it, then adding dogs. Genius!

How come they never show these classics now? They were so much better than most of the rubbish on today. Is it just me, or did our programs seem more emotionally involving than what is on today which is usually just utterly weird "humour". So many kiddies' programs I see make me think they would make more sense if I had some LSD.

Wow, I can't believe somebody else remembers "The Flight of Dragons". That really scared me when I was younger. Brilliant film. Why do they never re-show that? So many great shows and films I can't remember until somebody reminds me, and then all the happy memories come flooding back. Ah, to be that age again with no worries.

Does anyone remember a Disney film called "The Black Cauldron" at all? I have vague memories of watching it and enjoying it when I was very young, but I can't for the life of me recall anything about it.

Round the Twist
Round the Bend (does anyone else remeber this, with such classics as: Fatman, Attack of the False Teeth, and Attack of the Giant Banana?)

I remember it too. It was a Disney adaption of the 2nd book from Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Pyrdain series - a series loosely based on Welsh mythology. The books are amazing - well, for kids books at any rate. The film was good if you hadn't read the books, but, as with most adaptations, was vastly inferior to the book.
Here's a website for you about the film: http://www.geocities.com/gurgirules/

And that FRIGGIN' theme tune had the amazing ability to both get on your nerves and be insanely catchy at the same time.

Yes that famous afternoon politics programme Breakfast with Frost on sunday mornings.

It was called Working Lunch I think, and I'm pretty sure it is still around.

Thankyou to peoeple who responded to my "Black Cauldron" inquiry.

It may not be as good as I thought it was when I was young but I know it'll fester in my mind until I give in and watch it. The website was cool, but it's also made me want to see it again even more.

It was called Today at Westminster, with John Humphreys. Working Lunch is the one with the goldfish and shark and a brummie.

80s cartoons were where it was at. I remember that for the first several years of my life, Saturdays went by the name 'cartoon day'. Anyway, my personal favourites were and are (and actually, making this list made me realise just how much of my childhood was spent watching TV...dear God):

David the Gnome
Rainbow Brite
The Care Bears
My Little Pony
Heathcliff
The Wuzzles
Denver the Last Dinosaur
Pound Puppies
Muppet Babies
Alvin and the Chipmonks
Ninja Turtles
Gummie Bears
Inspector Gadget
Popples
Rescue Rangers
Lady Lovely Locks
Mighty Mouse
Duck Tales

And so it goes. Although it did take me a very long time to figure out that shows came on at a set time each week, and even longer to actually manage to remember when the set times were, so I only saw things on a hit or miss basis.
