and the best hall award goes to......

Just to make these boring summer days less boring....

in which order would you rank all the halls??? The order should consider external beauty, interior design, hall spirit and the usual things I can't think of!

I know it is not the most fun thing to do but it might keep our minds busy!

Sallies for looks outside, DRA for all round "luxury" inside, and what, McIntosh for internal fun?

Hamilton surely for external beauty.

DRA, internal stuff, although New Hall isn't bad.

And hall spirit, John Burnet, Front hall, Frostie Mondays, Christmas trees, the zoo, M & B and the smell on floor three.

Gatty is, quite obviously, the best place to live from second year onwards.

Other than that pinnacle of student accomodation, Macintosh seems a good hall for first year, as does Uni Hall and Regs.

Chattan's atmosphere is severely disabled by the lack of decent communal areas and by the way the hall is so narrow and thin leading to a lesser sense of togetherness, this is not hearsay; I have been told this by Chattanites.

Plus McIntosh has liliputian!

And it wasn't half bad in first year either ;-)
24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a crate. Coincidence? I think not.

I think Melville is in the running for most alcohol consumed.

I agree, Mr Seth is quite right.

John Burnet for all-round fun, beauty, and of course uniqueness.

I agree with Mr Seth (aka Midget). JOHN BURNET, an all-round WINNER.

hey! forgot to say that we must try to be objective! DOn't vote for a hall just because you have lived there or willl live there! That qualifies as cheating! ;o)

The corridors are just the right width for slumping against the walls and the common room ain't bad.

Andy and Steve's room also made a pretty decent communal area.

John Burnett certainly wins the award for most animal house-like hall.
Also perhaps in the running for highest incurred damage costs
