Congrats to all.

I look forward to working with you over the next 12 months.

Commiserations to those who didn't make it - it was an extremely high standard of candidate last year and a lot of exceptional candidates went away empty handed.

May I add my congratulations to the successful candidates, I am delighted that we have such a strong group leading the society in the coming year.
In particular I would like to say well done to Bess on her election as Schools Secretary. I look forward very much to working with her over the coming year.

Seems improbable.

But amusing.

Why was my post edited three times by the administrator, only to end up looking exactly as it did when I first posted it?

Your guess is as good as mine...

I wasn't the moderator on the 24th. Oli signed me over on the morning of the 25th at the request of Laura, and I went in to his office at midday on the 25th so that he could show me how it worked.

Sorry, but there's no way you can blame that on me.

And if Bean's post looks now exactly as it did, how was Eliot able to quote the part about me? When was I ever listed there?

Och, I was just wondering. And actually I thought Eliot had edited the quotation to make it look as if your name was mentioned, but then maybe someone has been playing silly buggers. Oh well, it doesn't matter - I just thought it was a little odd, that's all.

I saw the original post, and, as Eliot's quoting of it proves, it was edited by an administrator to say 'Tobias Joss' in place of Ashley Stevens.

How very odd. Not that I've not sat in as Serjeant on about a dozen occasions. In fact, the only chair at the front I've never occupied is that of Clerk. Alas that it wasn't that I was elected to.
