Quoting from 17:57, 26th Nov 2005
I suppose, if it was discovered that they were fatally allegeric to the act of cooption, the cooption could be described as unsuccessful
The co-option could be a success, even if the candidate died; you would just need another co-option. it would also depend on what you defined as a successful co-option.
it's like the old saying
"The operation was a success but the patient died." if you define removing an aneurysm from somebody's brain as the success criteria, and you do this then you have a successful operation. if you want to remove an aneurysm to restore quality of life to a patient, and he dies, then your operation has not met its success criteria.
Who will be the first convenor to kill one of the BoT by Co-option?

I hold an element of surprise
