Yes. Or at least they will. We are currently IN the ordering process. Please contact the Serjeant, Mr. Tom Cahn @tprc

You can see how you'll be able to buy them on the new website!

Perhaps it was rendered in the accent of the previous convenor?

Erm. Has it changed? Other than being crowbarred into the Association site (and not matching it at all well), is anything different?

5 out of 10 for effort.

2 out of 10 for achievement.

Thanks for looking at the new site. Seeing as you seem to have critique...suggestions?

One simple one is lose the black, it doesn't work with the Association's layout. If it's to be integrated there, then it needs to have a white background. I'd also tidy up the heading, so Union Debating Society is all on one line, possibly with the crest.

I'm sure the union layout has been imposed on you but it doesn't do anyone any favours. After all, how many people go to the debates website looking for horoscopes...

And the underlining of hyperlinks is pretty cheesy...contentwise ok I guess...

Good stuff. I think the black's going to stay for now, just because I think it's important for people to realise that they're surfing the UDS pages. I've been working on getting our crest at the top, somehow the site service isn't letting us do that yet (but oh, when it does, there will be a fabulous bar along the top...)

Trying to get rid of the underlined links. Is there any more content you'd like to see on the site? I've just added a link the Gaudi...

I've shown the page to a few friends; nobody doubts that it's the page for the UDS - if you read any of the content at all that becomes obvious, all the black does is make everyone say "eeew".

As for more information, I'd have no fundamental objection to details of debates other than the one this week. Things like the Gaudie and so forth are frills, the site should provide useful information about upcoming events etc. Possibly information about ALL board members, and links from that page to allow contacting them. That kind of thing.

Interesting. Well, we post info about debates just as soon as we can. It would be bad form to post that a speaker was coming and then, if he backed out, unpost it (looks bad for us, makes them look bad too). The BoT bios should be done soon.

Most people are not overly fussed about the speakers - I was asking for something as simple as the DATES of forthcoming debates. Not everyone checks every day, or every week for the latest news.

For anyone who is interested in bow ties I am ordering a new batch of them. As soon as I know when they are available and how much they cost I will post it on the Sinner. However anyone who is interested in being emailed when I have the details please email me at tprc@st-andrews.ac.uk and I will contact you when I have them.
