If anyone is interested in the first round topic there is a good discussion going on the main board under the topic 'smoking'. Mr Convenor has been admirably holding his own against many others. Also there are some good arguments that competitors might want to look at (read pinch) prior to next week. Or you could just post as practice.
See some of you tomorrow night!

Good luck to John and Miranda in the Mace round tonight. They should be well prepared after a relaxing and uneventful weekend...

ROUND 1 - RESULTS

Postby John Stewart on Tue Dec 09, 2003 1:44 am

ST ANDREWS ROUND

The two teams going through from the round held in St Andrews yesterday are:

ST ANDREWS A (John Stewart & Miranda Weigler)
Edinburgh D

The teams who went through from the ESU Round in Edinburgh were:

Edinburgh B
Aberdeen C

It's nice to win through on home turf. Good luck to Jason Vit and David Bean (St Andrews E) who travel through to Glasgow for the GUU Round tomorrow night.

Well done to John and Miranda in getting through without any mishaps. Best of luck to David and Jason tonight in Glasgow, lets see how many teams we can get through to the next round

Congratulations to Jason Vit and David Bean (St Andrews E) who went through with Glasgow A from the GUU round.

Unfortunately, Reinhard Hoell and Jamie Potton (St Andrews D) were knocked out of the Edinburgh Uni round. Edinburgh A and GUU C were the two teams progressing there.

Good luck to our remaining teams, St Andrews B (Ewan MacDonald & Alex Jennings) who will be debating in Dundee tomorrow night, and also St Andrews C (Miranda Bradley & Rachel Hasler) who will be debating in the ESU in Edinburgh, also tomorrow night.

Aberdeen A and Edinburgh E go through from the Aberdeen round by virtue of Strathclyde and Dundee withdrawing their teams.
