To all the native/experienced postgrads of St. Andrews!

I'm looking for some unfiltered advice about St. Andrews. The life, the people, what to pack, how to get involved, and how to get started!

If you have ANY advice you think is pertinent, please post! Consider this a kind of... crowd sourced guide for international students who have never set foot in St. Andrews but are dedicating the next 1-4 years to this (so I hear) beautiful place!!

Here's some suggestions:
- What to pack for Scotland (I have 2 suitcases)
- What to expect in the way of study habits/academic requirements.
- What are professors like?
- What are the people like? What should we expect and how should we approach our new world?
- Money, money, money.
- Etc, etc, etc.
