Songwriters out there?

I'm a first year student, and I would really like to start a band. I play the guitar, and I'm really looking to find a songwriting partner. Some of the bands I'm listening to at the moment are The Smiths, Talking Heads, Gang of Four,Cold War Kids, The Paddingtons etc. Ive written a few tunes and I would just really like to meet somebody who wants to make music, especially if you can sing, 'cause I sure can't. From there I would like to get a band going.
