Sid & Nancy...

Has anyone seen the film Sid & Nancy? I have and thought it sucked. Gary Oldman is in it. Great actor usually. I always hated the Sex Pistols anyway but this was a particulary boring film. No way as good as Repo Man.

Shut the Fek up as the film Fuckin rocked. Gary Oldman and the bird who played Nancy totally emersed themselves in thier characters. You actually felt the chaos and pain coming though the screen. There was no one else who could have given such a clear explanation of the duos turbulent lifes than Alex Cox. You also couldnt fault the dream like sequence at the end which wrapped up the excellent film to a tee.

The ending was really boring. In fact the whole film was boring. Gary Oldman is a great actor so its' no fault on his part, it was just a stupid film. Oh and Sid Vicious was a pathetic junkie asshole. It's not really that hard a character to portray.

i thought Sid was quite sweet from what i've read. he may have been a bit naive & ignorant but everyone's guilty of that to a certain degree. i think there's a lot to like about Sid. then again he was quite pathetic, was certainly a junkie & could be seen as the other word you used by some.

i've yet to see the film though.

Repo Man was way better anyway. It was funny for a start. Harry Dean Stanton is one of the most underrated actors of all time. I hate the sex pistols, they sucked. I can't stand British Punk. The music on Repo Man was way better. circle Jerks, suicidal tendencies and all that other stuff (With the exception of Iggy Pop).
