Interesting one, he clearly doesn't fancy the lifestyle.

If I were him, I'd try and win enough cash so that I could effectively retire. Play in the occasional WPT event, the WSOP every year. But apart from that, just take it easy - screw a high pressure job in the city.

Alternatively, he does cite luck as a major factor - other top pros don't like to play it up very much. Perhaps Vogl knows he's rubbish and was very lucky to win a WSOP event and wants to quit before he gets found out!

No, he really is an excellent poker player, i know :P I have played with him :P

The point he is making though is that as a lifestyle Poker Professionals have several problems. It is not a stable income, it is not a provable income, and the hours involved are very anti social to everyone except poker players. In short, unless you are a complete addict and good enough, it is a horrible life!
