Personally, I'd like to watch both (and will certainly watch whichever is not being shown on the monday back at the flat). However, judging on the film of Bebop and the two or three episodes of Star I've actually seen, I vote Bebop. If nothing else because the grappler arm thingies are a bit on the silly side. :D

However, I will admid my lack of know-wots in this area willingly, and am happy to watch either.

Seen all of Outlaw (it gets better Alex, and the coolness of caster guns outweighs the sillyness of grappler arms) but not the Bebop seires, so I can't make a judgement.

Well, it all depends on where your prefs lie. I have seen both in entirety - both are cool.

Outlaw is better if you want more randomness and comedy (though it is by no means as loopy as excel).
Bebop is better if you want a balanced mix of angst, gunfightyness and funny.

And for those of you who've seen the Bebop movie and not the series - the movie is just an extended episode really ( and watch the series to pick up all the sly little refs in the movie)
