Tokyo Mew Mew

I've recently got into manga comics, specifically those in the backwards right-left format (thank you Tokyo Pop!). There's a couple I've got into, one's the Battle Royale series (the manga inspired by the movie inspired by the book), and the other is Tokyo Mew Mew.

It's about five young girls, each's DNA having been fused with that of an endandered animal. Object - to save the world, as ever.

On ebay last week I won the first series of the anime on VCD. I have to say it's absolutely brilliant - each episode bring over my face an anime-style grin. My question is, has anyone else heard of this?

Never heard of it. But I did look up some info for those who may also be unfamiliar with the series.
