School of Rocksoc - This Thursday!

Welcome to the RockSoc board, it gets worse here every day... talk about RockSoc, rock music, plain rocks or other silly irrelevant drivel. All are welcome: members & non-members, of the past, present & future.

School of Rocksoc - This Thursday!

Postby flossy on Mon Mar 20, 2006 12:49 pm

After the glorious carnage of Rockaoke on Saturday, we now have..... SCHOOL OF ROCKSOC!

So dress in your finest (and possibly perviest) school attire and we shall see you on Thursday, 8pm Venue 2 (£2 members, £3 non-members).

Lots of Love
Floss x

Oh and just so you know the DJs are

Louise (1st set)
Me (2nd)
Alex (3rd)

All playing our usual exlectic mix (but with our own usual basis in goth, metal and punk/emo respectively. I got that right, didn't I guys?), but with a slight *ahem* influence of school disco classics. Prepare for some 90s cheese.

Depressingly, my school uniform looks an awful lot like what I wear anyway. On the up side, it saves me a lot of effort.

Nobody wants to read about a single mom trying to raise a kid and keep a job. People want to read about explosions, monsters, and exploding monsters.

Same here. But no doubt I'll turn up in my old Bell Baxter Uniform anyway...

Which is basically black shirt and skirt with a tie XD

Heh heh heh, I'm having much fun trying to work out what I'm going to play...unfortunately I'm currently noticing a distinct lack of rock...I'm trying to fix that though!

Yup the usual onslaught of complete randomness over here... although easy on the emo this week... a bit more metal and classic rock I think... with a few controvesies thrown in, just because it wouldn't be me otherwise. ;)

See you all on Thursday!!

I'm thinking Zero wing, although Mario would be a more obvious choice. I totally want someoneto play the zero wing remix sometime though.

Thursday will unquestionably kick ass.

Just finished my list and I can safely say that while there will be certain people who will bitch at the song choices and mix (but then they always do) this is probably the most FUN set list I've put together. There will be dancing...oh yes...

No doubt, this is gonna rock.

And inevitably there will be a massive argument afterwards over what we've chosen to play... if we kill the dancefloor then you will have grounds... but otherwise shut the hell up, get some Jaig in you and fucking enjoy the evening.

Bring on Thursday!!
