ROCKSOC AGM - THURSDAY 4TH May

The Annual General Meeting of Rocksoc has been called and will take place on Thursday 4th May in Venue 2.

The meeting will start at 7pm and those who arrive in time for voting will get free food and also free entry to the Rocksoc event afterward (otherwise the usual £2/3 charge).

Positions up for grabs are:
President
Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary
Ents Officer
Publicity Officer
Executive Officer
Webitor

The responsibilities for each position are described in this week's email. However if you want to ask any questions about the positions, feel free to post on here and one of the present committee members will try to answer them.

These are some big shoes to fill - show us your feet!

I'm not sure if first years can apply and I'm not sure if one has to reach "legendary RockSoc status" to apply but I was thinking of going for Webitor. I'm familiar with running websites, fluent in web programming and i'm a Comp Sci student. Not to forget that I neck all the Jaig in sight, throw down some of the best air guitar around and headbang like I'm knocking in nails.

I wish to run for Webitor too (I'm Ellie incase someone missed that).

I'm a Comp Sci student as well (though of the Internet varity), again, First Year. Not only do I have my own website (which is rather barren after I moved it, unforunately), but I'm currently the WiredSoc Webmistress (and you KNOW a Computing Society is going to be ridiculously anal about their website...infact me and the Pres. are giving it a total overhall over the holidays).

I believe I don't need to tell you how much I rock because I'm up there rocking with you every week.

I will be running for something, although I'm not sure what yet...not very arty so publicity officer is a no no...would happily be webitor, but there are a number of people far more qualified who would do a better job, and would start nagging me about how bad my HTML coding was (not thinking of anyone in particular of course). I really want to do something where I can get involved, have the necessary skills for the job, and not let people down...while rocking like a motherfucker at the same time...hmmm....
