Come on everyone, let's not miss out, they're touring all over the NE USA. Let's all jump on the next plane. In fact let's charter one specially.

I do like the use of "dropped" in that opening sentence. Good to see even underpaid PR people can predict the future of "the next pointless thing".

Though you do have to admire the concept of selling music, to have the sheer balls to stand before the consumer massess and tell them that they WILL like this, despite knowing it's half arsed drivel. That can kind of bravado or stupidity requires a higher level of self affirming ignorance then most of us mere mortals can muster in our life time.

So all praise to the brave PR departments of record companies around the world, may you all be first over the top.

is this a conspiracy? with all the negative press said band have been getting on this thread, i've been fooled into searching for said hardcore boy band (or whatever, sounds quite intriguing anyway) by what seems to be the old reverse psychology trick. However good ol kazaa found no files. which i think is a good thing seeing as the 'band's' name sounds suspiciously similar to o-town.

actually....

i like the 'musical & lyrical interventions' line. that's so class i might use it myself one day if i don't forget it (as is almost inevitable).

If you really want to know if there any good or not, as the original post points out, you can download their single from the website.
It's pish.

Apart from the fact that Etown Concrete is a terrible name for a band, let's not forget the fact that there are FAR TOO MANY PEOPLE WASTING OUR FUCKING TIME by dedicating their lives to trying to sell shit to idiots. Lets spare a thought for these poor, miserable excuses for human beings.

What have misspelt young, possibly castrated male cattle got to do with anything?

Hardcore is amazing, I've heard of Etown concrete, but never heard em. I heard they were a bit like Biohazard (which is a good thing). Jennie check out pro-pain, Avenged Sevenfold, From Autumn To Ashes, Coheed and Cambria, all excellent hardcore/emo stuff to get into. Is there anyone in this godforsaken town who likes the similar stuff I do? Its so fustrating that people are into the same old Metallica, NIN type stuff, and don't bother to check out all these excellent bands.

Ah well...

On another message board I use a lot of people talk about emo/hardcore punk and so on, and From Autumn To Ashes get the pissewd ripped out of them every single time they are mentioned. "Cheesy lyrics", "predictable songs", "boring". I've never heard this band but I'm intrigued, are they really that bad??

Autumn to ashes like their emo/metalcore peers are definatly an acquired taste. I happen to like them, but to someone who's not into this type of hardcore than they can sound a little cheesy and over the top.But hey I like em' and thats all that matters!

LOL

I love hardcore whether it be old school new school, emo, metalcore whatever. A really quality hardcore band to get into is Converge they are amazing, I would highly reccomend them. If you find yourself liking ATA I would reccomend Poison The Well, or any other band off the Trustkill label.

Hmm, I think I'll stick to Fugazi, Refused and At The Drive-In for my hardcore needs.
