No ball??

I've recently heard that there's not going to be a RockSOC ball this year, breaking a (in my opinion) *very* important tradition of the society- apparently due to monetary constraints. I certainly hope this is all a pack of lies and that both tickets and the long awaited 2007 design T-shirts will be on sale soon... Anyone care to dispel my fears?
