Good Friends is now over!

Postby Fugaziboy on Fri May 28, 2004 12:04 pm

I am so happy it's the last ever episode of Friends tonight. Good prehaps we can have some decent comedy on now, and not this patronizing, safe, unrealistic, annoying bullcrap. I absolutely despise this programme. Especially as it's totally and utterly unfunny. Bland and with a punchline at every corner. Why do we have constant repeats of this crap? The Americans cannot do comedy very well, the only exception being the exceptional and quite brilliant Bill Hicks R.I.P. He would be turning in his grave if he saw this crap. As well as Will and Grace and Sex and the city which are even worse.

Oh damn we have bloody Big Brother this summer. 8 weeks of watching and hearing about dim-witted morons spewing about nothing. Sounds a bit like the Bush Administration.

Alas, Frasier is set to end soon, the last of the few good US sitcoms.

yay for Big Brother. providing it's not too shite. which it probably will be. watching Big Brother is such a retarded thing to do, so by perverse logic it's great. it's the equivalent of sanding your (own) skin.

last year's was a big ball of brotherly wank. partly because because a dull cunt was in it & ended up winning it. Jon was amazing. Craig was someone who wouldn't have survived under the Nazis either, so i don't know why he won it (note: this isn't a full on justification of the Nazi's conduct but merely to point out that they had a few decent ideas here & there).

from what i've seen so far it doesn't look like there's any great stars in the house, though i doubt i've seen them all. there's about a football team's worth of them in there + one bloke (or female thing) that sits on the bench for the duration.

from what i've seen they seem to have their tokens sorted out. one token camp bloke, one token long haired bloke, one token so overly-muscled bloke that he looks comical, one token blonde, one token ugly awkward bitch etc...

i wanted Friends to end with a mushroom cloud & Hitler laughing. sadly it didn't.

i might have laughed if that happened, instead of feeling very down (not at friends ending, just in how it reminded me of my world)

still, they can always use that for frasier. but maybe replace hitler with M Bison, so as not to offend people. THAT would be worth watching.

If they got Raul Julia to play Bison again and if Jean Claude came flying through the windows in time for a shoot up then I'd watch it. Kylie would be nice too

i think that Raul Julia might be a little... dead to play M. Bison.

They should just superimpose the 8-bit arcade character into the film of Friends, and have his voice done through more 8-bit technology.

it would be cutting edge.

Hmm, do you think if George Lucas was a Street Fighter fan he'd make the prequel with a CGI version of the great late one?

Street Fighter was his last film too...

star wars fact for you - The working title of Attack of the Clones was "Jar Jar's Big Adventure."

i'll leave it up to you to decide which one is worse.

And the original star wars was

"The adventures of Mace Windu"

which could have been a whole better saga..

I imagine George was smoking a lot in those days.

And obviously taking a hell of a lot of other stuff to invent Jar Jar later on.
