Hi everyone

Just wanted to ask if anybody would be interested in organising/going on a night out to the cathouse during reading week? It would probably be on the friday night, we would get the train/bus through (whichever we could drink on!!) and then spend the night in a cheap hotel/hostel, go out, get rat arsed and then try and find a way back home the next morning.

Jusdt wanted to ask who would be up for it!?!?

Post here and let me know. Maybe we could even organise it as a rocksoc event (HINT HINT!!!)

this is too crazy, but i like it.
I know theres a double gig in glasgow in november (friday lost prophets, saturday vandals) i'd like to go to. Which would mean a cathouse trip on the friday and a crawl home on the sunday. not sure of the dates off hand, midmonth sometime. If theres enough interest maybe someone could organise something?

I dont think that we should do it as part of a gig weekend i think we should just make it a night out for us for working so hard during reading week (yeah right!!!).

Did a bit of looking into it (5 minutes on the web) and found that there is a decently close youth hostel that gives a 4 person room at 10/12 quid a night.

Couple that with the bus/train fair and also spending money(up to yourselves) and it wont be that expesnsive - depending on how much you drink!!!

I think we should go, and would be willing to organise it if i had definite numbers.

Post on here and let me know, then i can see what i can do!!!!

what ill do is give it a few days on here to let people know then arrange a time/day/place to meet up and let everyone interested know bout it!!!

I realise that people who want to go to the Cathouse will probably want to go on a fri/sat.

However, as your former president and glasgow resident I can tell you why it's a good idea to go on a thursday.

Go to solid rock cafe (around the corner from the cathouse) and vodka coke is a quid, plus around 11pm they give away free tickets to the cathouse.

All drinks in the cathouse are 1.60 - that both normal and premium lagers, your spirits etc.

Only the top floor is open, but it's the better one too. Not as busy as the rest of the weekend although still atmospheric and the dj is happy with requests - just like when i used to dj.

Anyway,

Well aside from Solid Rock Cafe...isn't Thursday basically student nite in Glasgow anyway? There'll be a whole bunch of places doing drinks offers (unless it's changed of course since i only tend to go out in Glasgow on Fridays).
