CS?

Postby Oirish_Martin on Tue Nov 30, 2004 2:01 pm

Are there any regular games of CS played over the network here? really dying for a game.

Of course if some people have managed to get CS Source running on network without being ballsed up by steam then that'd be even better.

Myself and two other people regularly play CS, and if you want I'll put my IP on here next time we play (normally at least once a day). Obviously we're playing with bots, as it's not very good with only three people otherwise.

One other person and myself have managed to get CS: Source working, but the bots aren't very good, and it doesn't like working on laptops by the look of it. (But it is REALLY good. You can spend hours just blowing out windows and destroying computers in Office.)

I am a bit annoyed though that this other guy's cracked copy has bots, but bots aren't enabled on the retail version yet. (Though they chould be with the next update, sometime in early December)

Okay, next time we play, I'll post my IP on here.

Actually, it's 138.251.246.117 (I think), so when we're playing, or if anyone wants a game, I can just say we're playing.

Oh, and, we're playing CS:CZ, so come to think of it, people might not be able to join after all. :(

But if anyone want's to play CS:Source, I've got that too.

Shabba....I've only got the CD version of CS original that came with my Halflife pack. I can patch it, but I don't have CZ. Anyone else up for CS original? I don't know what my IP is, I'm in Uni hall tho, so I guess I can play other people. Possibly not at CS Source tho - updating my copy is difficult, it's a quick dialup trip via restel everytime.

What do you need to host your own LAN Cs games with a few people? Can Counterstrike be downloaded and played standalone, or does everyone need a copy of half life? or can you share CD Keys or something? Never had to work this out before.
