Could someone point me in the direction of the cheapest site for domain name registration that they know of? I'd like to get hold of a .com or .co.uk for as little as possible.

Depending on what you are planning on using the domain for http://www.oneandone.co.uk are very cheap.

We use www.webtapestry.net, but if all you want is very cheap and cheerful there to much for you.

Try uk2.net, the cheapest place I know of. Check very carefully tho; they might try to put banner ads on your webpages.

I went to the site mentioned above, If it says the domain name you have chosen is available but is free and cannot be transferred but can be registered elsewhere what exactly does that mean?, how do I register it?
