VPN

Postby Lee.Cairns on Sun Oct 21, 2007 11:10 am

Anyone know how we VPN in to the st andrews network this year? I tried the same set-up as last year and it failed to work, I assume it's something to do with the new way the wireless is set-up this year.

Albatross was the VPN server you used in conjunction with tsunami, the wireless system. It's now gone. The new details are at the above link.

These are the setup instructions I followed, as far as I can remember:

https://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/itsold/software/free/vpn/index.html

in which case the Host is 138.251.5.1

Try upgrading to the latest version of the Cisco VPN client, the one I was using (from the ITS site) with Tiger was incompatible.
