Battlefield 1942 on resnet for free...

Postby Mr T needs work on Mon Nov 17, 2003 9:48 pm

Hi guys, I have a great demo of Battlefield 1942 'Secret Weapons' which has multiplayer options as well. Its nothing like most demos out there as it has practically all the features. Just limited to one map tho.

Already played it with my neighbours, but would be great to have more players. If anyone is interested, drop a post.

You can download the demo from here:

http://www.computergames.ro/download.ph ... index.html

I regularly run a server on Resnet for this game. Would be great to organise a night with several players.

Anyone up for it?

just download the full version, or i'll try and get a copy from one of my mates, then we can play full games...

i have H&D2 now, that'd be fun multiplayer.

Will set up the server again tonight at around 8:00 onwards. IP is 138.251.248.113 Although its set up to work on the LAN, my neighbour could only access by going through the 'internet' option on multiplayer and going to 'add server'. Leave the port number that they have on there already. Otherwise, just give a try accessing the server through the LAN setting and clicking 'update'. THe server then appears at the bottom of the screen.

I'm trying to hunt down a free full version too, but no luck yet. In the meantime tho, this one is great.

theoretically speaking if any naughty person had downloaded a copy of battlefield 1942, they might still have the installlation files on their computers?

as this is highly illegal (zz zzz zzzz) i insist that they should send me the installer over messenger and then promptly delete it from their computers, or not.

this is a very serious issue and i hope you will comply!

If anyone wants the ftp server software I have it. That way we can transfer 'files' faster :) I'll be setting an ftp server up soon.

In the meantime, is anyone gonna be interested in playing the BF 1942 demo tonight? Would be nice to get a time and number established. :)

Try at the bottom of the page in this link:
http://www.electronic-arts.com.au/eagam ... uct_id=120

I have it on CD (from magazine). If all else fails I'll try and extract it from there. Otherwise I can try and make copies. I'm in New Hall if thats close to anyone.

Tonight at 11 sounds great by the way. I'll set the server up from like 7-8 and keep it on as long as we keep going.

Server is going up now. If you cant see it in the LAN options of the game just go to internet and click 'add server'. IP address is 138.251.248.113

Just post here if you're ready to join.
