all series of the l-word, they are amazing, just get better. american queer as folk, makes me wish i was a gay man, explores alot of issues with lots of hot guys and disturbingly hot sex. Saved! although there is only a slightly gay subplot. Mysterious Skin really makes one question alot of things but the gayness is effortless if that makes sense.

every series of the l-word. hot gratutious lesbi-sex. what more could you ask for. also american queer as folk. pccassionally it does explore issues other than sex eg. gay adoption, coming out, gay marriage, monogamy (huh, what does that mean) etc. is it just me or would television lead us to believe that gay people seem to have alot more, and alot dirtier, sex than straight people. well i am certainly not complaining if its an accurate depiction. also there's this show Noah's arc which has been dubbed "queer as black folk". again there are some major hotties.

I caved and bought W&G season 7 the other day. Oopsie. It was so cheap though, I just couldn't resist - I was saving myself more money in the future, honestly.

Apparently, "Grande Ecole" is meant to be quite good as an interesting look at philosophy, sexuality and sociology. 'Tis quite expensive though... I'll only be looking at that after the fourth series of QAF USA...

You might consider "Mysterious Skin" too - it's not for the faint-hearted, and it ain't cheerful, but it's a very good film.

Howzabout, for some LGBT history, "Bent" - the story of a gay Jew sent to a camp and forced to choose between a pink triangle or a Star of David. Very very touching film.

There's also Pink Room - I know very little about it except Jimi Mistry is in it, I've heard good things

There's a film of Rent now - haven't seen it but I love the music and it's the nearest I'm going to get to the show for a while.

All the really good/obvious ones have already been mentioned, I think...

'To Wong Foo', perhaps?

It's about a group of drag queens who break down in the middle of nowhere, USA, and have to live with rednecks until their car gets fixed. Pretty good if you don't take it too seriously.

Oh, and if you can find it (which is doubtful), 'The Curse of the Queerwolf' does not exactly "send a positive message about being LGB or T", but it does take the piss out of homophobia, as well as B horror films and, to a certain extent, hillbillies. It's good camp fun that knows it's camp.
