Parents Enquiry Scotland - 13th November

This Monday's talk is by the lovely Anne fro Parents Enquiry Scotland. She has been coming to talk to us for the past couple of years, and we have always received great feedback, so we've invited her to come again!

For those of you who do not know, Parents Enquiry Scotland is a volunteer run organisation that provides support for the parents of gay young people in Scotland. Anne is the mother of a gay son and felt that, while there was a lot of support for newly out young people, there was nothing for the parents, especially as it's a shock for a lot of parents to hear that their child is L G B or T, so she helped set up the organisation and she has wonderfully agreed to come tell us a little bit about what they do. We often wonder about our parents' reactions to coming out but never really think about how they cope with the news, so it is a really worthwhile talk for anyone to attend.

Please come along to the Mansefield at 8pm for a start at 8:15pm. We hope to be done by 9:30 so Anne can get her train back to Edinburgh, so after that we will be heading off to the Byre as per normal!
